Design Portfolio Entry Forms Available Online

LINCOLNSHIRE, IL – Entry forms are now available online for Custom Woodworking Business’ 16th annual Design Portfolio Awards competition.

Any type of custom woodworking project is eligible, as long as it was built by a professional woodworker and was completed since Jan. 1, 2007. It must be a project built for an outside customer.

Categories include: kitchen cabinets, architectural millwork, residential furniture/built-in, residential furniture/free-standing, solid surface material, laminate casework, specialty products and commercial/institutional furniture.

Judging will be done on the basis of submitted artwork, which can be professional-quality four-color photographs or slides, or high-resolution digital images, provided they are accompanied by a color print-out of the images. Project information must be submitted on an official entry form obtained from CWB. Winning projects will be selected on the basis of appearance and quality of construction. Entries are limited to a maximum of three per category. The fee is $50 per entry, and the deadline for entry is Sept. 5.

Winners and Honorable Mentions will be featured in the December 2008 issue of CWB. The top winner in each category will receive an award plaque and 100 reprints of the article. Honorable Mentions will receive a certificate and 50 reprints.
